The Province of Talagante is one of the provinces that make up the Región Metropolitana de Santiago, Chile and is located southwest of the Province of Santiago. The more northeastern part of the province is included in the Santiago conurbation. The province has an area of 601.9 km² and its population is 217,449. The provincial capital is the city of the same name. The municipality (comuna) of Talagante has a population of 69,000. A province that characterize for its typical and traditional town known for its handcraft of clay and for its low and pleasant constructions.
