It is an activity that intends the capture of fish, as much in the sea as in fresh water, whose purpose can be sport, recreational, tourist or of pastime and that is made with an equipment of personal fishing. This personal equipment consists of a system associated to a form or modality of fishing, formed by a line, with or without ballast, that has hooks and that can be handled in direct form or with the aid of a structure that facilitates its handling.
In this context networks cannot be used, traps, espineles, harpoons, firearms and hooks, among others. A characteristic of the sport fishing is not to be essentially competitive. The "fight" considers between the fisherman and the fish, under certain conditions that the sportsman autoimpone, being able to provide, along with its close contact with the nature, the satisfaction to capture a fish and to give back it to its means in good conditions. Our country is an excellent destiny for the fishermen worldwide. With more than 4 thousand kilometers of coast and innumerable rivers and lakes, Chile offers all the scenes and species possible to take any type of fishing. The fishing in the sea is developed throughout all the Chilean coast, being the most common species: lenguados, tunas, pretty, mountain range, róbalo, old or mulata tree trunk, sargo, tollo, and San Pedro, among others. The fresh water fishing is mainly developed in central, South, austral the zones and magallanes (regions V to XII). The numerous rivers, lakes, lagoons, dams, matting and you stride along, that are throughout the territory, count mainly on the presence of pejerreyes, carps, tencas and different salmonídeas species. |
